Born and raised in San Diego. Always at the beach. Always taking pictures of someone.
It started at family parties and events.
Growing up, I was always the one making my family and friends pose for portraits — at Christmas, baby showers, milestone birthdays. I'd gather everyone together, get them lined up, and try to make something worth holding onto.
What started as a way to hold onto my own family's memories slowly became something I couldn't put down — and eventually something I wanted to bring to other people's lives too.
A decade in the Bay — and a trip to Japan that changed everything.
I spent over a decade living in the Bay Area, exploring San Francisco from end to end. The fog, the architecture, the neighborhoods that feel like different worlds — it showed me how differently light can fall depending on where you are, what time it is, what the city is doing around you.
San Francisco made me pay attention. San Diego made me love golden hour. And Japan — Japan made me slow down completely.
